Helping those
who have to leave
In 1985, a group of 25 women, disturbed by domestic violence
in Northeast Tarrant County, founded Mid-Cities
SOS to support The Women's Shelter in Arlington, a
refuge for the victims of family violence in our community.
In January of 2006, The Women's Shelter and Women's
Haven of Fort Worth merged to create one of America's
premier emergency shelters and outreach programs,
SafeHaven of Tarrant County.
Mid-Cities SOS conducts various fundraisers throughout
the year to support its mission of educating victims,
increasing awareness of domestic violence and providing
financial support to SafeHaven.
Last year SafeHaven served more than 71,000 individuals
through services that included emergency shelter, outreach
counseling, educational services and victim's assistance. Your
support will help end the cycle haunting too many homes and
destroying too many lives.
